There are times in life when certain situations make us just drop everything immediately.
Losing a family member is one of the most difficult experiences that anyone can face, and it can be incredibly hard to cope with such a profound loss.
I recently lost my beloved father and I took some time off from everything to just spend some time with my family and process my emotions.
Family is the primary reason why I got into property investment – to be able to spend more time with my loved ones. While I have had some success, sometimes there really isn’t enough time for us in a day to do everything that we need to.
I am thankful that I was able to spend some time with my father a few months ago, but I regret that I wasn’t able to spend as much time with him as I wanted. That’s just the way life is.
While I am processing my grief, I am grateful that I chose to be in property investment.
If I were at my old job, I wouldn’t have been able to drop everything like I have done and still be stable enough to support my family. While it isn’t sustainable for a prolonged time, I am thankful that I am in a position that allows me to take as much time as I think is needed while being confident that I still have an income.
Being in property investment has liberated me in ways that I thought would not have been possible if I were still employed.
It just goes to show that, if you really want to do something, just go out and do it. Have the courage to take calculated risks, learn as much as you can, and stand up and try again if you fail.
Don’t wait for tomorrow; it’s not guaranteed for everyone. Let’s make the most out of every day.
