What is a good system for goal-setting?
I personally use the 90-day goal setting system.
Using the 90-Day goal setting framework can be beneficial if you want to increase your output and profitability.
It is far easier to handle and it works in your favour to prevent the income highs and lows that frequently occur when trying to plan 12 months at a time at the start of each year when you plan in 90-day increments.
So why do I use this specific framework? Here are some reasons why:
1.) There is enough time to get anything substantial done in 90 days.
One of the main reasons I create (and advise setting) 90-day goals is that you can accomplish something significant over that time.
You want to move forward rapidly and see results when it comes to attaining your goals. You’ll be inspired to follow through if you do it that way.
2.) You can really focus when you set a few 90-day goals.
You can commit fully with 90-day goals. Shiny things won’t catch your attention and cause you to lose focus. There will soon be another 90-day period, so you can put any fresh ideas you have away.
3.) Setting longer-term objectives, like 6-month or annual goals, makes it too simple to put off doing something.
Longer-term objectives are frequently more difficult to begin with. It’s simple to put off starting when you have so much time available.
You have no time to squander if you have 90-day goals!
Setting 90-day goals for your company is an easy procedure that everyone can do. In order to have something specific to work toward, you must first consider what you want from the upcoming three months and write it down. Then, divide those goals into manageable chunks.
